Games for mobile platforms, what to read?

I have no problems with 3D graphics and game programming per se, but I have a lot of questions on the topic:
1. What to write on? Language , framework ? I really hope that there is something good (albeit paid) so that you can write on Windows and “compile” on different platforms without unnecessary gestures. Basically, the programming language doesn't matter.
2. Should I use the services of publishers , and how much will it cost me? How then to withdraw money?
3. For which platforms is it more profitable to develop (financially)?
4. What games are in demand, what are their distinguishing features?
5. What to read on usability and design ?
6. Well, everything else.
First of all, they are not interested in books, but in articles , I believe there are many of them on Habré. Articles with the study of these issues, success stories and everything that can help me.
I guarantee the authors of useful answers a plus sign in karma and a big purely human thank you .

I recommend paying attention to the libGDX project link . It is an open source Java engine. Just right for the parameter "write on Windows and" compile "on various platforms." By various mobile platforms, he means only Android and iOS, but this is already the lion's share of the mobile application market. Built-in Box2d physics engine, and OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics engine.
Of course, there are also disadvantages. 3d api is constantly being improved, new bugs often pop up. But the community does not sleep, fixes bugs, improves the functionality, I inform you as an observer of this process. Engine author Mario Zechner has published a couple of books on Android Game development, one of which can even be read in Russian here .
Here's a good tutorial to get you started:link to habr
PS My games don't make money yet, so in other matters I'm not an adviser, I've just been sitting on libGDX for the second year already. If interested, I will answer any questions in a personal.

1. Unity is good enough, here is an article that will help you get out of the state of "What is Unity?" in "I wrote a small game" - http://habrahabr.ru/post/167509/
2. On the subject of publishers, I advise an article and a link from it.

Dear TheHorse, I read your article on Habré about the minimax algorithm using the example of playing hare and wolves, but I can’t download the source code. Could you re-open access for them? Thank you. Sorry for offtopic =)
