Frontender without in?

Hello. I'm 18, finished 11th grade, I'm going to university for part-time. I’ve been doing typesetting for more than a year, studying js and the entire ecosystem, I have several projects in my portfolio, in short, I’m ready to work as a junior front-end developer. I don’t really want to work as a freelancer, because there you first need to collect reviews, etc., plus there is no stability, and in general, I think it’s better to first gain experience in the office. The only thing that confuses me is the age (the lack of a tower). What do you think (or from personal experience), is it worth trying to go to interviews or is it pointless? Thanks in advance!

In the current realities, education is not needed to work in IT.
We need real skills, the ability to self-learn.
However, a formal education will be useful when emigrating.

There's a meaning. You can work without a tower. But its absence can hurt painfully in 10-15 years, for example.

VO, as for me, shows the employer that you are not some kind of Alyosha ) But since you are 18, then of course try to get a job.

That's how I started. Now 25, there is no VO. Started freelancing. But I’m already thinking about getting a VO, since I’ve gained experience in development, it’s time to get a crust. I'm thinking of going to college by the age of 30. The older you get, the more you realize that this crust can come in handy.
Entering the correspondence department now and working would be the right decision, otherwise you will have to retake the exam for admission to the university.
Plus another problem with the army. They can pick up. I just spent one year on this.

layout designer - yes.
There are still a couple of years of active use of frameworks before the front-end

The lack of higher education, especially at this age, can be compensated by fruitful work experience: they say, sculpted, there was no time ... But not because of "reluctance" :) Education in IT itself has little benefit, except gives a general base in case it is a good university. But how you will explain his absence when applying for a job is much more important. It's worth getting ready. Well, it's still worth getting.
