From 4-5 CD-ROMs to make 1?
Hi guys.
Toli skis do not go, toli I ....
We take 5 CD-ROMs, cut SATA-shki, connect them into 1 SATA-shku, connect all 5 pieces .... and why the hell did I do it?
Has anyone been so confused?
There was a need to burn more than 30 discs, on one drive for a long time, because. I'm an engineer with my mother, I decided to connect 2 drives to one SATA. But nothing happened .... Probably not connected correctly.
Without special equipment (some kind of controller) is it possible to make such a thing?
Roughly speaking, to get 1 CD-Rom of 5 pieces, so that the recording goes immediately to 5 pieces.
I rummaged through the net, I don’t see what anyone did (idiotic) like that ....
It’s clear that you can cram it into free SATA.
There are Kulibins?

This is solved with the help of these devices: https://wiki.ezvid.com/best-dvd-duplicators
But I'm afraid you won't like the price.
But maybe we're overcomplicating things here? Definitely, you will not be able to launch one recording process, which will somehow write to several discs at once, here special equipment is needed. But no one interferes with connecting several DVDs to a computer in the usual way and running several burning tasks at the same time. There are a lot of SATA ports on motherboards.
The easiest way without a soldering iron. Install Linux, the number of cutters you need. I have for example in connectors. Create an image and throw it on the record.
The second way is Kulibinsky. Take a laptop cutter from the tray, remove all unnecessary and make a rack in which there are 20-40 blanks. It rises in height by a stepper motor. The logic of the rack is like this. Rise slightly above the level of the tray, pull out the tray, lower the stand so that the blank lies in the tray, close the tray, burn the disc, extend the tray, raise the stand, push the tray, raise it one position and repeat the cycle
sata cannot be connected like this.
It's easier to buy a pack of Chinese SATA-USB adapters and connect all the seedrooms through a powered hub.
You're not the first...
Connect all recorders at once via separate SATA wires, regardless. You can even use different models. Then turn on the "multirecorder" mode in the recording program - and it will "by itself" write to everything at once.
Not all programs can do this, but some still can ...
