FreePBX, changing External IP from CLI?

Asterisk R13 with FreePBX is behind NAT, ports are forwarded, everything works. External trunks are configured via PJSIP. External IP is set in PJSIP settings.
A second provider appeared, I wanted automatic failover - when changing the external IP (I understand how to catch this), replace the External IP in the settings (and I don’t understand this) and restart the core (according to reviews from the Internet, reload will not help).
It is clear that you can simply change it in the asterisk file, but will it all break when you restart? Or not?
How is it right?

@AtaZ

Won't break until you change the same thing via FreePBX, so you can change and restart.
Ideally, you can write a script in php that will send the desired command to FreePBX.
