FreeBSD: is it possible to tell a process which kernel to run on?
There is a dual-processor SunFire v245, FreeBSD 9.0 is installed. The server is planned as a front-end for balancing incoming VPN connections + as a front-end for a web server. PF is installed to filter and resolve traffic. As you know, PF is not friendly with smp, so it will work on one processor. How can I explicitly specify on which processor PF should run, and on which nginx will run in reverse-proxy mode? (apparently the number of workers should be set equal to one).
Thanks in advance!
