Free-lance.Ru completely fucked up with their monetization? =\
A rather funny story happened today to me and my account on the www.free-lance.ru/ service . I poked around the habr and realized that the guys were already completely fucked up with their pulling money from ordinary users. I had an account there. A simple such account, not pro, without a rating, without posted works, without a portfolio, just was and was.
This afternoon, I decided to try to look for more orders on this exchange, because I am actively freelancing and I have free time between projects. I wanted to try to play on this freelance exchange. It all started with the fact that I received a letter from them by mail with the subject: “Do you want to earn a lot?”. Why not, I thought, and logged in to the service. After that, I saw that the login used on the site is old, the date of its registration is many, many years ago, and in general I don’t work under it. I decided to change my login. I poked around, pushed around on the settings and help and understood. You can change your login, but it costs money. The price for this service is 100FM, inside the service currency. In terms of the usual rubles, it will be 3000 rubles. The toad inside me downloaded: “Are you really an idiot or what, pay that much money for changing the login on an empty account?”. Logical, I thought. I will delete the old account altogether, because it does not carry any semantic load, and I will register a new one. The head thought, the hands did. The account has been deleted.
Then the situation began to unfold much more interesting :-). When I tried to register a new one, the system gave a message that the e-mail address data is being used somewhere and I cannot make a new one with such an address. I decided to write to the TP, they say, you have a mistake, fix it. To which I received a wonderful slander in response:Hello Dmitry. Unfortunately, multiple registration is prohibited by paragraph 1.4. of the Rules of the Site www.free-lance.ru/about/rules.pdf By this we mean the registration of more than 1 account in a certain status (freelancer or performer) by one person. In this case, all your accounts may be blocked.
Ilya, I understand that the service is paid, but I do not need it. I want to delete the old account altogether, tightly and make a new one, in response to a new slander, even more interesting:
You can read the full instructions for changing your login by following this link: www.free-lance.ru/help/?q=798 This service is paid, its cost is 100FM.
Sincerely, Ilya Bozhko
Manager of the administrative department of Free-lance.ru.Dmitry, on the profile deletion page it is indicated that in this case registration of a new account will be impossible, since this would violate clause 1.4. Site Rules www.free-lance.ru/about/rules.pdf We can restore your deleted account, but this service is paid, which is also indicated on the deletion page. Its cost is 20FM.
What does it get? The service does not delete the account, but puts a flag on them deleted. When you try to create another account, the new one is also banned based on the fact that one user has created several accounts on the service, which is not good. Registration can only be one, and even if the old one is deleted, it is not possible to make a new one? Can they restore the old one again for 600 rubles and change the login on it for another 3000 rubles? Please tell me, maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm doing it wrong, that I don't clog their database with duplicates, but I honestly retired and just want to make a new account. I have the opinion that the guys are already just crazy about permissiveness and the fact that there are not so many freelance exchanges in Runet that they allow themselves to do this.
Sincerely, Ilya Bozhko
Manager of the administrative department of Free-lance.ru.
Now I continued the correspondence, and asked a specific question, can I create a new account and will it be banned, to which I received the following answer:No you can not.
Make your own conclusions, gentlemen, and work more carefully with this exchange. I'm not going to pay 600 rubles to unlock my account. At the moment I am talking with a lawyer about a lawsuit, because this is already outright arbitrariness.
As the only possible option, you can restore access to a previously deleted account and continue working in it.
All newly registered accounts will also be blocked.
Best regards, Kirill Tolkachev,
Free-lance.ru Account Manager

The one who made the right conclusions is now working with other exchanges.
I can not understand habr community all the same. Discussion of a specific problem, as a result, a bunch of minuses in karma, a bunch of minuses in the topic. On the face of a clear violation of the rules, because nowhere is it indicated that the account is frozen, and not deleted, that they store personal data as they want. Disappointed. For once I decided to share my thoughts and this is the result.
Well, in general, the service provides a specific paid service (nick change), you want to do the same, just not pay. Why does it bother you that the service stops this?
This has already been discussed on Habré (there was even a separate topic with a holivar about multiple registration). A paid nickname change is quite justified (because many people use one main nickname throughout their activities, on different services, and if someone is thrown on one of them, the entire Internet will quickly know about it by seeing the nickname). If the nickname change was free, it would be enough to fill your portfolio with beautiful works once, and then throw all the customers and change the nickname (and, accordingly, the url of your page) without even setting it up again, and without losing the registration date. And really - if you have an account on the service with which you earn money (and the freelance site is essentially your place of work, and it’s your problem that your account was blocked because you didn’t use it - if you didn’t go to work you would be fired and the second time they would never take it). Such prices (as well as payment for applications, a monthly subscription) are made to protect customers from shkolota, who leaves millions of applications for projects, promising to do everything in the best way for 100 rubles, and thereby greatly hindering the earning of professionals (because their applications begin to mix with a bunch of shit from schoolchildren with stolen portfolios and fake reviews, and it’s hard to find where a professional is and where it’s just a fake account). For someone who is serious about freelancing, spending several thousand dollars to pay for a service that is their employer is not a serious expense (think of this as a profitable replacement for a bunch of taxes and fees if you were working at a regular job). But on the other hand, it weeds out schoolchildren from the service and scammed them, who cannot pay 500 rubles a month for each left account, which will not pay off when performing low-quality work for 100 rubles. For the same reason, re-registration of another account from the same person is prohibited. If you want to use the service - use it and there will be no problems. Well, if you yourself abandoned your account, and then suddenly wanted to return, and you have already been blocked, this is not the fault of the service. For example, most email services delete your mailboxes if you have not used them for a long time and another person can take them without any problems. and you have already been blocked - this is not the fault of the service. So, I don't understand, was all this indicated in the rules? And when you delete you were warned? Do you want to be given the opportunity to spawn accounts on a resource that deals with money and is trying in every possible way to legalize itself?
Free-lance.ru immediately seemed to me a rare crap. The desire to cut down the dough by administrators is really rushing from all holes. But this is their right.
Someone uses after all services, someone suits. Although it's time to compile a three-volume guide to mastering free-lance.ru for beginners.
Lawyers? Lawsuit? I'm not entirely aware of how this exchange works, but do they owe you something? Did you pay them for a service (registration, for example)?
This once again proves that before using this or that service, you need to read the agreement. Although I myself do not observe this position, but as they say - “until you step on a rake ...”
And the idea of a lawyer, in my opinion, is useless. Do you need it?
