Found an open directory?

In general, I found an open directory on a small site that stores the personal data of the author of this site (some kind of tables, text files). Out of the kindness of my heart, I want to tell him about this so that he closes this catalog from prying eyes. So, if the author of the site turns out to be evil and sues me, what will happen to me from the point of view of the law?

If the author does not have a Bug Bounty (a program that involves rewards for errors), then it is better not to do this. Well, or at least - new mail on Google (or somewhere else outside the Russian Federation. This will not give a 100% guarantee, but it greatly complicates the ability to request), entering through the anonymizer, one letter, after which the mailbox is deleted.

If you can't profit from it, then clap your hands for being such a good security specialist and move on.
In general, according to the law, he can roll on you, because. you have gained unauthorized access.
