For CH340, the bitrate is declared in the range of 50bps ... 2Mbps, in the dispatcher the maximum is 128kbps. Tried the regular driver and the "non-standard baud rate settings" driver from wch-ic.com

You in PuTTY try to open the port with the speed you need and close Rx / Tx. If you see printed characters in the console, then it works. This chip worked for me on 1 MBaud
