Fixture factories in PHP, which one do you prefer?
Rubists have a factory maid and a machinist. We, php-shnikov, either have miserable similarities, or some old unsupported hats. In the case of activerecord there are a lot of solutions, under the data-mapper there are several crooked solutions without inheritance support for factories. Also, most libraries have problems with many-to-many relationships. Of the most adequate, I found phactory, but again, a lot needs to be described for blueprints for generating data. Out of hopelessness, I’m thinking of taking the idea of phactory as a basis and implementing auto-generation of blueprints based on ORM mapping, or at least auto-tuning based on schema and ORM.
And what do you use? Maybe there is already a decent implementation? Or maybe it can / should be slightly finished?
