Firefox hangs when loading a large page, how to fix it?

There is a page with a list of 2500 items. When you open it in a browser, it takes a long time to load and sometimes the browser hangs. Page weight 150kb. I tried to load a list from another page using jquery load(), but it did not work, the browser hangs. Can something be done about it? Here is the page
