Often not only arises, but I think in this direction plays an important role. After all, the catalog of an online store is its issuance and search robots. Usually, on the side of the site (hosting), there was a parser that received data from the central office (i.e., from some internal database of goods and services) where the managers had already entered pictures and text of a given product or service. All this was displayed on the site. Accordingly, the site had a content manager who purposefully performed the middle ground between the company and the SEO specialist. How to express this in monetary terms, we need more specific criteria and scope of work, as well as its specifics of activity.

I deal with this at work.
For manually filling the store with products with good descriptions written by themselves and photos provided by the client, content managers found on freelance charge from 10 to 20 rubles per product.
One person can upload up to 30 quality products per day.

It strongly depends on online stores, customer resources.
If there are a lot of items, then there is usually an import function from 1C, Excel (the functionality can be written for additional finances)
If there are not many items, then you can make a standard price for 1 unit of goods, for example, 10 cents

I run into this problem from time to time. Moreover, I will say that it is very difficult to find a person who would undertake to fill the store.

The main thing is to create a skeleton of the IM base, this can be done by unloading the main data from 1C. The quality of the data in 1C itself depends on the density of work on them by the contributors. In 1C, in principle, you can keep all the data, from prices to pictures and a good description, for this you can use text editors directly in 1C. This approach is good because even if the IM is blown away, then the entire database will remain in 1C for further use (you still need to issue invoices). Downloading the data takes a few minutes. New products can also be uploaded to 1C from IM with descriptions and pictures, but this will take a little longer.

Most often this is not a problem.
In any case, at least some normal engine, but we support data import. And writing a script that performs reformatting in order to make friends between the customer's database and the engine is not a problem. Several hours of work.
But if you cross drupal and 1C: Trade, you will be honored and praised (dones and respect).
