Here's the thing, installed the ACF plugin, added fields. The text that I enter there is visible only on the preview and immediately after the update, when I click on the "View page" link, as soon as I exit the editor and go back, nothing is displayed in the fields.

1) you have created fields and loaded them on the page, post, posts, etc.
2) do you save changes by pressing the "publish/refresh" page button?
3) after publishing / updating, if you refresh the page, do you see the values ​​you entered on the edit page in the admin panel? If not, then look for a plugin conflict or even an ACF plugin bug (try updating the plugin).
4) do you display custom fields in the template? if not, then they must be displayed in the desired template. For example,
if you added fields (for example, on the Home page), but want to display them on another page (for example, on the contact page), then you need to pass the ID of the page for which the custom fields are created to the above function (in this case, the ID of the main page)
