Ferrite filters?
Hello comrades.
I recently read about ferrite filters, got interested, thought about it. I have a lot of wires under my desk in a small area of air (0.4m 3 ), mostly UTP. From the provider to UPS , from the UPS to the router, from the router to 4 ports (main computer, home server, Wi-Fi router, switch for other devices). In total, about 50-70 meters of UTP cable diverge from this point in different directions, while one of them goes through the wall and the street.
Actually, the question has arisen: does it make sense to tie UTP wires into ferrite rings, what will it give?

The 802.3ab standard (gigabit network) operates at a frequency of 125 MHz, which, in principle, does not give significant interference, in addition, it already includes a noise filtering algorithm. Therefore, there will be no point in ferrite filters.
Straight fashion went to the "barrels on the wire." I have nothing against filters, especially where they are appropriate.
But already a couple of times I came across usb wires with fake filters - solid plastic, immediately aroused suspicion that the wire was simply fused there. Apparently gives solidity.
If it works fine, it's not buggy, then you can not touch it. They won't make much sense, that's for sure.
