Ferrite filter on USB extension cable?
I'm making a 4.5-meter usb extension cable with a shielded wire for rtl-sdr Question: does it make sense to put ferrite filters on the ends?

Yes. The common mode filter not only protects USB from external interference, but also prevents it from emitting interference through the cable itself. In the case of SDR - be sure to set.
