I made a sidebar with categories and latest posts. I would like to know what can be changed and how it feels in terms of usability and design. Please, tell me your general impressions - bad/good

1. First of all, I would make a page with a good adaptive:
so that the text does not stick to the edges of the screen, so that there are no horizontal scrolls
2. Next, I would increase the font size, increase the line spacing, remove this gray font color to an adequate dark one:
3. Then, I would make a different date format, for example: Jul 31, 2017. Anyway, this block can be animated with a thumbnail, avatar, etc. + the title itself can be accompanied by a background image, etc., so that it does not look like gray gloomy day, block example:
4. I would make the navigation itself an anchor object, tied to the corner of the screen, or at least aligned with the text, now the gray dividers-stripes have moved + moved
5. Side panel:
a) remove these dark frames from top to bottom, leave only a panel on the right, why cut off the floor of the screen when opening the panel?
b) in this panel, remove "where am I now" and so it's clear where.
c) make sure that the panel does not close when the cursor is hovered at a large angle, this technique is used in online stores with large lists, I marked with a green marker the area with which the problem is in different tabs, play around with the cursor and it will be clear that the interaction areas should be more
d) to do this, try to get from point A to point B with the cursor - on the Facebook link, the sidebar will simply close.
6. Why do you need a sidebar at all? For what? I would remove it altogether in desktop version
7. Why is the Resent tab needed at all? Maybe it meant Re cent? I have a browser where there is a page history. But in the layout there is no possibility of login, but it would be possible to subscribe to the author or add articles to favorites, write comments, etc.
