Falls off AD on freenas. What is the problem?

Good day! There is a grid with computers, a domain, several domain controllers. on frinas an exchanger for domain users is organized. There is still a branch on which there is a domain controller. With this branch we work on vpn. That is, the domain controller on the branch does not respond.
found out that the service of the controller on frinasa falls off because it connects to the domain controller on the branch and cannot connect.
The question itself is how to make it so that the frinas does not break into the domain controller for vpn.

How does one follow from the other?
It is necessary to look at which DC is specified in the freenas settings. Can only that DC is specified there. As an option, move the remote DC to a separate site, so that local DCs are polled first.

I have about the same situation, only without CD for vpn. Freenas connects only to the CD that is specified in its settings, so the CD that is behind the vpn does not play a role in this case. Try to change the CD in the freenas settings to another CD in the local network, it helped me. I tried to reinstall the problematic CD, change the iron server itself, where the VM with the CD is spinning, there is no difference. I noticed that freenas starts falling off CD only in certain situations. For example, I have two CDs, on different servers. When connected to the first freenas does not fall off, when connected to the second it starts to fall off periodically, but if this CD is physically moved to another place, it stops falling off freenas. At the same time, there is no such problem with other repositories. Those. there is some suspicion that
