How to reduce RAM usage on TrueNAS Linux?

The Proxmox hypervisor is also installed inside the TrueNAS VM. Installed: Memory 8GB, Proc 2 cores, 8TB+8TB in RAID Z -1. A few minutes after the start, TrueNAS starts eating up to 95% of the memory (if you look at the VM summary in the hypervisor). Even when idle, when no one is using the storage.
When outputting free -m -h from TrueNAS:

mem: total: 3.4G used: 986M free: 290M shared: 70M buff/cache: 2.2G available: 2.1G
swap: total: 3.6G used: 5.8G free: 3.6G

Well, why use the ZFS file system in the VM ... it eats up
You have 8TB - 8GB for ZFS in this situation, this is the minimum salary ... it's strange that it generally works fine)
Why put US on the VM and store everything on virtual disks? it's not the best plan
