Privacy - settings - do not track.
And reduce the number of plugins to a minimum.

For anonymity, a proxy is needed, and extensions can only configure it - turn it on and off, in Chrome for sure, in Mozilla I don’t know.
You can also "fasten" Tor, it is also a proxy, but it works using the SOCKS protocol, and not HTTP as browsers need, so you will also need a "bridge" in the form of the Privoxy program.
