/etc/passwd file in linux?

On linux, the /etc/passwd file contains a list of system users. Then where are there such users as deamon and others besides root and the admin user I created? Do not judge strictly, just started to master this OS.

The initial /etc/passwd appears when the system is installed, just like programs and other files. Obviously, it is what the authors of the distribution saw fit.
And why did the authors of the distribution kit do it this way - answered Alexey Dmitriev .
