Install a directory service on the Linux OS and create a forest on it. I'm not versed in Linux. Someone can help?

I have a course on "COMPARING DIRECTORY SERVICES IN WINDOWS AND LINUX OPERATING SYSTEMS" on Linux, I installed Active Directory and created a domain. Now the same thing needs to be done on Linux. Install some analogue of AD and create a forest. Help me please...

OpenLDAP. And, apparently, samba4, if you need a screw domain. But this cannot be explained in a few words.

Two options, I'm not sure which one the author of the course had in mind:
- either an LDAP directory, as mentioned above
- or a "natural" NIS directory - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_Information_...
