Error when using vmrun, how to fix?

The question is narrow enough, but maybe someone came across. Under windows x64 I try to use the vmrun utility, but I get an error.
C:\Program Files (x86)\VMware\VMware Workstation> vmrun -T ws start "win7.vmx"
Unable to connect to host.
Error: Cannot find support libraries; Vix appears to have not been installed
Tried searching the internet for an answer, but so far without success.

You can see from the output that you are missing the VIX API. Google the installer for your version of VMWare Workstation and install...
