What to do if virtualbox is buggy ???

I downloaded virtualbox from the official site, downloaded the image of windows 7.
Everything loaded, and I launch it, and there are such hellish lags. The mouse moves frame by frame (blinks), and all programs, folders, etc. open 2-3 minutes.

I have a laptop with the following specifications:
Processor - intel core i5 5200u 4 cores 4 threads 2.1 MHZ 14nm 3mb l3 cache
Video card - gtx 920m (2GB memory) + Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500
Memory - DDR3 12 GB
HDD - 500 gigs 5200 rpm

Under the virtulka on Windows 7 I allocated: Proc
- intel core i 5 5200u 2 cores
Video card - 256 mb (maximum in virtualbox).
Memory - 4GB
HDD - 32GB of which 20 are occupied. (One partition of drive C: )

I don’t understand why it’s so buggy, please tell me.

@kalapanga

Is hardware virtualization enabled? In the BIOS of the laptop and in the settings of the virtual machine.

You have a weak computer, especially HDD.
Install the VirtualBox Extension Pack - this is the maximum you can do. In your configuration (the first thing that catches your eye: why cut a small disk into tiny partitions?)

Try increasing the amount of RAM for the VM and look at the processor settings.
