Error connecting via Mysql for Excel?
I was wondering how to upload data from a Mysql database to Excel. Downloaded and installed "Mysql for Excel". But for some reason it can't connect to the server. Gives an error all the time. How can this be solved? Through ssh I normally connect to it. The server itself is on Ubuntu 16.04.

The user with this password has access rights from the host, where are you connecting from?
1. in eekel you can connect to mysql there everything is there for this and even on the way you can prepare the data.
2. mysql is open on your external server?
You probably don't have an ODBC driver installed and configured.
The driver itself can be downloaded from mysql.com .
After installation, go here: Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Data Sources (ODBC).
In the "Custom DSN" tab, add a new source, select the installed driver and fill in the required fields. Screen (on the screen is a connection to another database, but the essence is the same):
Press the "Test" button and test the connection. If the test is successful, then go to Excel and enjoy the direct connection :)
