Generally strange - two buildings and one switch. Isn't it easier to aggregate 2-3 links between buildings in group mode with one switch in each building and send traffic to these 2-3 links.
In general, for optics - at least one media converter (possibly for several optical links) on each side (I don’t know if there are models with PoE, all I saw in hotels is a separate 220V port).
