Empty LVM partition after recovery. Where is the data?
Good day, colleagues!
A few days ago, a logical volume was removed from one machine.
Today it turned out that there was still important data. Not a question, everyone is aware of vgcfgrestore.
1. Found the archive of the required config in /etc/lvm/archive/ (Created *before* executing 'lvremove ... it was the latest by date, everything is ok)
2. Tested vgcfgrestore vg1 --test -f /etc/lvm/archive /... All OK.
3. Restored vgcfgrestore vg1 -f /etc/lvm/archive/... Restored volume group
4. The volume rose as inactive. Activated: lvchange -ay /dev/...
5. I connect the volume to the VM, it turns out to be pristine, unallocated...
How so? What did I miss? Again, deleting the volume was the last lvm operation.
ps I also connect the NTFS volume created under Win2008 to vm under Win2008.
