Employment contract and personal income tax - innuendo or norm?
I get a job in the office, before that I worked only as a freelancer.
At the interview, they asked about the expectations about the RFP - he named the amount, there was no bidding.
When signing the employment contract, they wrote this salary without taking into account personal income tax, i.e. wages will be 15% less. Upset, because. when discussing the salary - I, of course, meant the salary in hand, and not legal issues. A new contract with another RFP will require additional. approval from the authorities, which will delay the process, now there is time to think.
Tell me, how common is this situation in terms of hiring? Do interviews always ask for a salary before personal income tax, or are these tricks on the part of the employer? Thank you.

I think it's a clear scam. Any normal employer in the Russian Federation, speaking of salary, means net, not gross. Only once at the interview they clarified with me: "gross or not?".
It is possible that the manager "messed up"; as it were, there are few smart ones among them ...
In any case, DO NOT be silent - tell me about the misunderstanding! Only tactfully approach the issue (without raids).
At the end of the situation (after notifying the employer) there are two options:
1. You made a mistake. Sorry. We'll fix the problem now.
2. The office is a real galley. And here, if your health and self-respect are dear to you, I advise you to quit as soon as possible.
In Russia, a salary is almost always implied. The fact that you are not aware that you have to pay 13 personal income tax is your problem. Learn the materiel, so to speak. This amount will be specified in the employment contract. The fact that such questions arise indicates that this is your first official work, hence such a misunderstanding.
On the other hand, people working on a salary do not know the understanding of how money is in their hands, they operate with a salary. Hence the mutual misunderstanding.
I would say this - the indication of the words gross and net in the text of the vacancy indicates a greater maturity and responsibility of the employing company, the rest either do not know the truth, or "misunderstand", or want to be cunning.
The applicant needs to pronounce all the incomprehensibility so that they are not interpreted not in his favor, after all, this is a popular practice in the Russian Federation, and not only))
