E-commerce on a modern php framework?

The task was to select an e-commerce engine for a small online store, followed by finishing it to fit your needs (work in 1 person). I looked at Bitrix, opencart is some hellish shit code, especially Bitrix.
Tell me, please, can someone come across intelligent engines (albeit simple ones) on modern php frameworks?
