Dust in the window: what can be done?

I am writing here and in this hub, as the most intelligent people with the ability to solve real problems gather here.

So, there is an apartment on the 3rd floor of a 9-storey building. The windows overlook a small road (every 3-5 minutes a car passes), and then there is a more or less ecologically clean area, not yet inhabited, trees and all that.

The problem is, as I understand it, the road. An unrealistic amount of dust flies through the window. If there is nothing to do, you can wipe it off and just watch how it will reappear. At the same time, another room overlooks the other side of the house and there is no road in front of it - you can not clean that room for a month and it will be fine.

Some solution is needed to prevent dust build-up while maintaining the flow of fresh air through the room. As usual, the most effective for the least money.

I thought about such options as:
— What is the membrane on the window. Now a mosquito net is stretched, but it is too large and does not hold dust almost.
- “Some kind of green fence” between the road and the house (there is a 15-meter strip of land), but this is difficult to implement in terms of grandmothers or middle-aged women with the syndrome of extra time, who will start “the light does not hit the window on the 1st floor”, “I have flowers there planted, etc.

... your ideas?

Tony Stark woke up in me, and I thought about the dust sump:

dust will collect at the bottom of the box if its bottom is made fleecy so as not to allow dust to rise under the influence of air currents. And an additional mesh on top.

If the question is precisely in constantly fresh air, and not in a constantly open window, then a good “supply valve” solves it. And there will be no dust from the street and noise from the road and fresh air is provided.

the first option in Google

protection from pollen and dust
, in fact, you need either a mesh with a smaller mesh size, or an additional layer of the same gauze or cling film.
the question will be in the amount of air entering the room and the "breeze"

Double-glazed windows + forced ventilation with filters. Not cheap, but a cardinal decision.

I encounter this problem from time to time - I live in rented apartments. I tried the "budget" version in the form of a frame tightened with a rare but fleecy fabric. Observing the appearance of earth on the windowsill, I increased the number of layers of fabric from 1 to 3. It became clean. air stopped flowing. I ended up buying a window air conditioner. In the summer I remove the window from the hinges and hang air conditioners. The rest of the space is covered with thick foam rubber. Clean and cool. Foam rubber is enough for a couple of seasons, then it starts to crumble. Air conditioners are no more difficult to transport than a large box of books. There was an idea about a fabric filter with a water irrigation system. And the dust will not pass and it will be cool but did not realize.

We have window filters on our windows. It well prevents dust, pollen from entering, and vice versa fresh air. It also prevents condensation. It is very convenient, especially when a small child, and open windows form drafts.5cfcfb2cdd1b4f5e96beb89547950300.jpg

Supply ventilation is not necessarily with a fan, often just a hole is enough, look for example vortice - they are passive and even taking into account filters they do a good job, provided there is normal exhaust ventilation in the house. But this is not very budgetary, a passive filter is ~ 3000 rubles, plus a hole with a diameter of 12-15 cm is also not cheap to make, few people have such a tool.

Everything is much easier. There is an extractor hood in the kitchen - it sucks the air out of the apartment, it needs to get into the apartment from somewhere. Through all sorts of cracks and junctions from windows, doors, etc., he gets from the street. How much has gone so much has come. Ideally, it would be necessary to put a piece of ventilation with a filter - to take air from the street to clean it and supply it under a little pressure. This is how clean rooms are arranged in production.
All you need is a small eu6 filter fan.

I recommend the respilon window filter in a plug-in mesh for a tight connection and a secure fit.
It really works, the dust from the street does not pass at all
