Dull printing in the printing house and how to deal with it?

Hello!
I prepared a layout for printing, as it should be in CMYK, embedded a color profile into the document, and sent it. As a result, I get dull and dark materials from the printing house.
I draw on an iMac, the layout looks bright and contrasty on it. I understand that printing is different, but how to deal with it?
