Drupal vs Wordpress?

There is a project, a news site.

The functionality is about the same.

  • Pages, articles, categories, tags, etc.
  • Site search
  • Registration / Authorization
  • User's personal account
  • A registered user can publish news (after moderation, the news will be published)

I'm interested in these things:
  1. Site speed (Performance) ?
  2. 30-60 thousand visitors per day (Which cms will do better) ?
  3. from 5,000 to 10,000 articles ?

I am familiar with Drupal, but not so well. I would like to know which cms will be better in terms of speed (performance)? There will be many articles on the site.

@AzaBroflovski

In terms of speed, they are about equally slow :) But Drupal 8 has very rich caching capabilities (you just need to know how to use them), I don’t know how to do it in Wordpress. So choose what you know best and like best.
