Dropped LCD monitor. Can it be fixed?

Dropped old LCD monitor.
When turned on, the screen lights up for a few seconds and goes out. During these few seconds, the screen is lit unevenly and not at full brightness. After the screen is off, the image can be seen, but very pale, if you look closely at the monitor and slightly to the side. This suggests that the backlight has broken.
In principle, it's not particularly a pity, I have not used the monitor.
Actually I have two questions:
1) Can it be repaired and how expensive is it?
2) Is it dangerous to keep the monitor in the room after the backlight has broken (due to mercury vapor)?

“Doctor, my tooth hurts, and if you poke it with a fork, it hurts more, but if you use a toothpick with cotton wool, then it seems to be nothing. How much will it cost to fix it?"
I think that with such questions - strictly to the repair company. On an Internet no one repairs a piece of iron, you never know what could be damaged except for the lamp.
Mercury vapors are dangerous at the moment of evaporation, if it has already been ventilated, then there is no danger for adults.

2. Not dangerous, it has long since weathered. You can treat the place where the fluorescent lamp is broken with a soap-soda solution (4% soap solution in a 5% soda solution). In your case, it was only necessary to ventilate the room where the monitor fell.
I won’t say about the repair, I didn’t come across it.

It can be repaired, but in my opinion it is not economically viable.

Can be repaired. If the screen lights up, then the lamp cannot be broken. If it were broken, there would be nothing.
Most likely you will get off with a simple component repair. The cost of repairs can be around 300 rubles, how much the master will charge for this is not known.
At the same time, new good monitors are already around 3000r.

According to the symptoms, the same that I had - the inverter broke. Repair cost me ~ 1500r.

About two years ago they brought an old LCD monitor taken out of the machine, the backlight was covered and it burned a little. I took it to the local radio market, two days later it was taken by a worker, for money something in the region of 600r came out.

There is a great idea - if the matrix is stratified, then it is quite possible to assemble a transparent panel for an aquarium from such a monitor! You can attach widgets with water temperature and, possibly, some kind of animation. And if you screw the tactile panel to the inside, then the vast expanses for the “fish” interactive open up completely.
The idea is not a joke and quite realizable.

Most likely something with the inverter. But if the lamp is broken ... You can replace it - I changed it, but it's very hemorrhoids. And also make sure that when disassembling / assembling the matrix, dust does not get there (not fatal, but the picture can be greatly spoiled). Well, you also need to get a lamp.
