Here's the question:
We were working on the internals of the site (online store), our position after the rollout of the update sank in a week, despite the fact that from a technical point of view, I did not find any problems with the site. Also, the webmaster does not show anything technically problematic. From which I conclude that the problem is not on the technical side.

We have saved all content and redirects and everything works as usual. With one exception: we have a new directory in which we copied all the images of the site. And now we have images in the card displayed from the new directory, respectively, they received new addresses.

The images in the old folder are still available, but there are no links to them on the site.

Can there be a drawdown of positions due to a change in image addresses? Are there any statistics on images? Do I now need to redirect from each old image address to its new address?

You definitely don't need to set any redirects from image urls yet.
But it is difficult to answer unequivocally, there is not enough information.
What were you doing anyway? You write "We worked on the internals of the site" - you probably changed not only the folder with pictures in the process of work, did you? It would be desirable to see the entire list of works in order to understand in which direction to dig.
