DPC Watchdog violation error. Has anyone come across?
When working at a computer (games, web surfing) Windows 8.1 with Update Enterprise x64, everything stops and a "blue screen" appears with the error code "Watch Dog Violation". Previously, there was Win 7 Ultimate x64 and no such problems were noticed for 6 months. Games are average, old, not requiring powerful performance (Torchlight II, Titan Quest, Diablo II)
RAM: 6Gb (4 + 2 from different manufacturers)
built-in video card.
HDD: 500 gb
While the computer "held" managed to check for viruses, nothing was found. Cleaned the registry, defragmented, cleared the browser cache. It didn't help and the computer still showed Watch Dog. I got it, cleaned it of dust (almost was not). I rubbed each plank on the base with an eraser. Turned it on, but the h / s repeated for a while. Climbed into the device manager, found the vidyahu, chose "Update driver". Then I updated the sound card drivers. Everything was updated via net. While the flight is normal, I do not go into games. In the properties of the system, I also unchecked the box "perform a reboot" on system failure.
Question: What to do if this blue screen repeats??? Reinstalling back to 7-ku will save?
