Domain with questionable history?

Good afternoon. I'm considering buying a domain. The situation is this.
A site of my subject (programming) was placed on the domain. However, in the last year the site was abandoned and bought out by someone. As a result, a topic was posted on it, let's say 18+, as the waybackmachine service says. For the current day, the domain is free.
Tell me how this story affects the further promotion of the site? Or is it better not to get involved?
