Does your laptop freeze when you lose internet via wifi? How can this be related?

I do not understand the connection, how can the computer freeze if the Internet is gone? Where could this be. and this was not the case with the previous Wi-Fi network.
And there is no way not to check what is happening at the moment, a complete freeze of everything and everything for 1-10 minutes. After hanging, the entire queue of commands will be executed (10,000 windows can open) which are launched with the mouse.
And once again, I don’t understand what the connection between the loss of the Internet can be, and the whole computer hangs.
I don’t have any viruses, I have already checked 1000000000000000000000000 scanners and checked the entire disk for files, for a whole month.

Laptop freezes when wifi fails
Is it dead? Is it really impossible to even call the Task Manager by Ctrl + Alt + Del? You didn't write about it, so I'm asking - have you tried it? Usually, the Task Manager can always be called, and it can already signal which software or process is hung and does not respond. Again, from the Task Manager, you can forcefully close such a hung application and thereby eliminate the long wait.
And secondly, there is a suspicion that such a freeze is tied to the start of the OS. You didn’t write about this either, so my second question is is there a difference between the options when the Internet disappears during work, and when it doesn’t exist right from the very beginning, when the computer starts? This is a simple diagnostic question to help understand what exactly is hanging.

And how did you understand that it hangs precisely because of the loss of the Internet?
It may hang due to disconnecting the network cable, or it is due to the network card driver or USB modem freezing.
