Does torrenting kill your hard drive?

I distribute and download torrents almost always there are big ones and there are small ones.

This, of course, is a load, but the hard drive is designed for this. Of course, if you turn off the HDD and put it on a shelf, then there will be no load and such a disk will live much longer.

Mechanics will wear out. But it seems to me that he is more likely to become obsolete than to die because of torrents. By the way, WD10EZEX is a great model.

Any intensive load reduces the life of the disk, if you distribute a lot, then yes, it will live a few years less
