Does the VM heavily load the system?

I want to put VB on win 8.1 to work, so as not to clog the main system. In order to then be able to delete the configured VM at once and that's it. Will it heavily load the main system in terms of RAM and so on? I mean, let's say if I allocate 4gg RAM for it, will they be occupied immediately, or as they are in demand?

Hello) 4 g of RAM is the maximum set size, which will be filled as needed. VB is a free project, in my experience, which is often stupid and buggy. Now switched to VMware: I can't get enough of it. It is important to understand that you will not achieve good performance, as in the root system. What are you going to work on in VB?
I also recommend Windows 10 - as a more productive product.

Will be busy immediately. Loads the system depending on what you will do inside the VM. In the settings you can set limits on the processor and so on)
