Does the uniqueness of content affect the position of the site in the search engine?

We thought about the mass placement of high-quality content from other resources.
1. Does their uniqueness matter? Do I need to rewrite it?
2. What are the ways to get relevant content for the site quickly and on a budget?

@Sanes

Content can be translated or rewritten.
In secret: The
content from the mailing lists is usually unique and is not published on the source site.

If the content and the site itself are of high quality, and not just to be poked from Wikipedia for placement in the next garbage dump for glanders, then it does. Rewrite to do 100%, and even better copyright, people will appreciate it, and the original author will not give you a blow on the head (for copyright infringement).
