Does the UEFI of the laptop see anything at all?

I have an Acer E5-511G laptop with a dead bios battery. It’s difficult to change the battery, it’s strange here, and figs would be with it, only in UEFI mode (which is by default, and is set every time because the battery is dead), the laptop sees absolutely nothing, not a single disk, but manually every time you turn it on my father will not be able to put the legacy mode into the BIOS, it’s difficult for him, he needs this laptop for TV shows. There is no information in Google, bios InsydeH20 5.0, can anyone know what to do?

There are three options, from easiest to hardest:
1. Change the battery;
2. Reinstall Windows in UEFI mode;
3. Reflash with a modified BIOS with embedded settings.

Insert a flash drive or memory card with efi grub installed, which already starts your system.
According to the uefi rules, it can see the bootloader on removable media such as a flash drive, cdrom and memory card, which means that, in the absence of an alternative, it will boot from it.

In general, I agree with Ronald.
As for the flash drive - burn the Windows image using Rufus and select NTFS there - it will automatically set the flash drive mode to UEFFI. After you install Windows from scratch, Windows will default to UEFFI, so it will boot accordingly.
Personally, my opinion is ueffi garbage and I don't like it)))
The correct option is to change the BIOS battery. Even if it is soldered - take it to the service, give 500-1000r, save yourself from crap.
For some reason I can’t find a disassembly of your laptop model, if possible - throw off a photo of the batteries, I’ll tell you (we are engaged in parsing nettops and others like them))

1 create a disk image, throw it off anywhere, but not on the disk with which we will work
2 follow the instructions https://winitpro.ru/index.php/2017/04/20/konvertac...
