Does the modern world have the idea of modular laptops?
The fact is that modern PCs can be bought in parts, and thus assemble your own. I am a laptop lover, but I have never heard of anyone implementing the idea of modular laptops. A site where you can pick up all the laptop modules to your liking (I would sit there for hours and study for hours) would look especially cool and, as a result, get the laptop you need on order. Particularly smart, like me, could build a laptop with an emphasis on the future, so that in 5 years there would be a large range of compatible modules. I understand that marketing is indignant here. I know that there are already modular smartphones

There is such an idea, but it is unlikely that it will be in great demand in the market...

Well, some laptops are already partially modular: RAM, HDD, ODD are replaced in all, there are also mini pci-e for wireless adapters, rarely in which there are processor sockets and video card slots, and in principle there is no need to change more. Modular laptops are not popular because, firstly, this is a mobile technique and modularity will increase its size / weight, and secondly, it is not beneficial for manufacturers. instead of replacing the equipment, it will be sorted out, and this is cheaper, thirdly, no one knows what technologies will be in 5-10 years and whether the bandwidth of existing slots, sockets and interfaces will be enough by that time
