for some reason, all optimizers climb for information about promotion on various forums, where they upload so much spam into their heads that they can’t figure out the simplest things later.
from the beginning, you always need to read the instructions, Google and Yandex have help - these are their manuals, written in an understandable language without flooding and swearing)
p.s.
definitely improving

First of all, you need to introduce microformats and microdata . It is necessary to check the general semantics of the site - the correct distribution into sections / articles, navigation, sitemap, placement of h1 h2 h3 headers. Then check whether the robots correctly select keywords for targeting, implement analytics and manage advertising campaigns depending on the promotion methods.
Unfortunately there is no universal recipe.
It all depends on the target audience, products and PR / marketing campaigns.

At a minimum, you can create a sitemap.xml file and use Yandex.Webmaster to specify the path to it. This will help the robot index pages more efficiently. The same can be done using robots.txt directives
. In general, the use of tools from search engines basically only allows you to speed up indexing, avoid unnecessary errors and more effectively prepare the site for promotion.

Improving.
New sites are indexed faster. A couple of years ago, a man contacted me. He has had a website for a year now, but not a single search engine has seen it point-blank. He directly drove "nazvaniesaita.ru" into the search engines, but they did not find him. On the second day after adding the site to Google Webmaster Tools, Google already saw the main page of the site, after 2-3 days - the rest of the pages.
By showing search engines the path to sitemap.xml and constantly updating this file with the new site structure, you achieve fast indexing of new pages. On the other hand, you can clearly see how many links were sent for indexing and how many have already been indexed.
For example, in one project, I divided the content into 2 types: links to articles and links to images. For me, it's easier to track how the search engine has indexed the site's materials.
Indexing is also improved by the fact that certain site problems can be identified and solved: DNS, robots.txt curve, slow server, 503, 404 errors, etc.
