Does the host of VPS/VDS servers have access to the resources leased from him?

What can a VPS/VDS landlord monitor and what access does it have if the user has root?

If you have the option to install from your own image instead of deploying from a provider's image, you can use full disk encryption. In this case, access to the data will be very difficult. The only real way to get access is to intercept the password at the stage of encrypting the disk, since this action will most likely occur through the kvm owned by the host.
In general, data protection is quite possible, especially if it is vds.

Full. If you have not taken measures to encrypt.
However, even if it is encrypted, then access is still possible, but already too gemorno.
