Does such a scheme work with gluing domains for site promotion?

Noticed the following situation.
On one site, the main page has a large TIC. Later it turns out that another site is glued to the main page, which also has exactly the same large TIC. I read that if you take a domain with a large TIC and use REL=Canonical or a 30x redirect to glue it to another site, then in a few months their TIC will be equal. For example, TIC site1.ru = 1000, TIC site2 = 10 - after gluing TIC site2 = 1000.
Does this scheme really work? As far as I understand, TIC does not directly affect the issuance, and if the site is not aimed at selling links, is it not worth cultivating TIC as one of the main methods of promotion?
Is there any point in this scheme for a site monetized through AdWords.

Their TIC will be equal because they will be considered mirrors, if you paste them or place different data on each (which will lead to sticking over time), then each domain will remain with its TIC
