Does schema markup for ok.ru require special markup?
Our schema.org microdata is being validated in Google and Yandex validators
https://developers.google.com/structured-data/test...
https://webmaster.yandex.com/microtest.xml
And this https validator: //html5.validator.nu gives us the following success message:
The document is valid HTML5 + ARIA + SVG 1.1 + MathML 2.0 (subject to the utter previewness of this service) .
When we published the news in G+, where, as far as we know, SHEMA is used, the card renders normally. The card renders equally well for Facebook.
Example of validated URLs:
https://odrive.info/content/8_World-Wide-Web-Skate... orhttps://odrive.info/content/10_Chernomorskie-aquapa...
But for ok.ru , as it turned out, this was not enough, and they gave us a little informative notification: Failed to attach the link. Please make sure the link is correct and try again.
A rather strange notification led us to a dead end and we turned to technical support. After some chatting with the development team, we made the assumption that our server responded with an HTTP 400 status to the request of their grabber. However, after checking the logs, it turned out that no requests come to us.
We already, it was, and completely waved our hand at the network segment in OK.RU, however, the gods smiled at us and during the next security check we turned off SSL and voila! The card rattled.
The dog was buried in SNI - Server Name Identification. It turns out that there are 2 ways to establish a secure connection:
1) First, the connection is established, then the certificate is checked.
2) First, the certificate is checked, then the connection is established - SNI way.
As it turned out in early versions of Tomcat, up to 8.xx SNI is not implemented. But this implementation is already included in the 9th Tomcat, the release of which has not yet been released. We quickly compiled it from the sources, adjusted it with our own configs, and everything worked. Hooray!
Thank you for your attention,
oDrive.info Team
