Does it matter which CI (Common Interface) to buy for TV?

Here you need to buy a CI module for TV (example: www.magazinhifi.ru/files/catalog/magazinhifi_ru_ru... ) where a card from a provider is inserted to watch digital channels.
Do these CI modules have some parameters or something?
Or can I buy any CI module?

As far as I know, the main difference is DVB-T / DVB-C, and it depends on the TV what it can accept. Although I could be wrong.
