Does it matter how the text is transliterated into the URL in terms of search engine optimization?
Hello everyone,
There was a question of transliteration of text in URL. I use different libraries in Python for transliteration, they all do it in their own way. I compare with the results given by Google Translate. Do not match. I thought about whether it is so important that the transliterated text matches the algorithm that Google itself uses. Will it matter how the word is transliterated into the URL? Will it be written, for example, "fiva" or "fyiva" or "fyva" when the user searches for "fiva"?
Are the transliteration algorithms of Google and Yandex the same? Or is it better to write words in English in the URL? How do you think?
Thank you.

There is no special connection between the correct transliteration in the URL and the position in the search results, rather than there.
You can check whether a specific search engine understands your transliteration option in the results for a specific query - the correct transliteration option in the URL will be highlighted in bold.
