Does it make sense to sell Macbook PRO 2015 and buy air on m1?

Good afternoon, last spring I bought my sister a macBook pro 2015 laptop for 900 euros (Not Russia). Now I look at prices, they have not fallen much, there are few offers.

I'm thinking of selling it for 850 somewhere (800 edge). Add and buy a new one on m1 air. It costs 1100 euros new. Does this purchase make sense? Is he better?
