Buying macbook pro 2018 vs 2019?

Good afternoon friends!
I am a developer.
I have an MBP 2014 15 "16/256 i7. Well, the initial config, but on i7.
In general, at the moment the device suits me completely. But here is the question of profitability, I can’t cope with my thoughts, maybe you will guide me on the path of truth)
The bottom line is that while the device is profitable on the secondary market - it can be sold for 65-75 thousand. In the
MBP 2018 of a similar config, there are problems with the display cable + it is not clear what with the butterfly (how I will get used to it) after the MBP 2014 and the "island" keyboard.
There is money for a device for 160.
But is it worth waiting for wwdc and the presentation of new firmware (it seems they didn’t say) or upgrade to 2018 and not take a steam bath?
If you believe the tests and the hardware, then it is an order of magnitude faster, and the guarantee will start from a new starting point, which is no less important for a device of this cost. Maybe there are owners who switched from 2014 to 2016-2018 and how? Does it make sense in my case to pay extra 80-100? I usually take a laptop for 3-4 years.
In the new firmware, it’s only embarrassing:
- The keyboard is NOT an island type
- To put it mildly, shitty maintainability
- It’s not clear in which batches this cable for the screen will “arrive” and apple has not yet recognized this problem, such as since 2014 - there was an anti-glare problem.
- Is the moment of purchase successful? And now a new model will be released and, in fact, 2018 will conditionally turn into a "pumpkin".

Flexgate was fixed in 2018, they just didn't tell anyone. It was lengthened by 2 mm. I’ve been using it for almost half a year, and out of complaints, the touchbar only began to freeze when the sound changed with some videos on YouTube, and the fact that the case is still softer than the old ones, but was limited to a couple of dotted dents on the edge (you can see that I use it). There are no problems with the butterfly, I have never blown it - it does not stick, there are no left triggers.
You can wait for 2019. You can still wait for 2020 and the end of the world. What about the meaning?

As mentioned above, the cable was really lengthened, the keyboard was fixed. I, as the owner of 2016, blew the keyboard only once in 2.5 years. And believe me, get used to the keyboard so you won’t even look at 2014) When I ran into the first problem on my macbook, I didn’t want to downgrade just because of the keyboard and trackpad)
In fact, this is the 3rd generation of macbooks of 2016, already all the sores that you can it's been fixed!!!
I would not wait (in fact, I will do the same, changing the 16th year to the 18th). As the owner of a macbook from the first batch, I’ll say that it’s not worth it, there are always a lot of problems with the first batches! I was not affected by the problem with the keyboard, but there was a problem with charging (replacing the board), as well as replacing the whistling cooler. Enough time has now passed to say that the macbook pro 2018 is the best macbook of 2015, which was also the latest generation in its line.

In fact, any laptop can take mail for ~ 3 years (regardless of the Brand).
Recently, my wife changed the laptop that we took in 2006.
He is still working (Fujitsu-Siemens).
