Does it make sense to put ssd on sata2?
Hello.
I have a motherboard with sata2.
As far as I understand, sata2 has a limit of 300mb, that is, although sata3 is backwards compatible, I won’t get a speed of 550 when reading.
I wondered if it would be better to take hdd, for the same amount I can take it for 2tb, also sata3, but the speed will be the same as that of ssd, i.e. about 250.
Did I draw the right conclusions or are there subtleties?
Thank you.

And what do you read so often at a speed of 500mb per second then? I just don't have a single task on my computer, who would need such a speed, what do you have for such tasks?
Yes, I would further say weave, then there is never a disk load. It is
clear that the responsiveness of ssd is two orders of magnitude higher
