Does it make sense to go online in 2020?

Hello! Do you think it's worth mastering web development in 2020? I just look, everyone who is not lazy is rushing into this area. It is now the vast majority of these people - beginners. But time will pass and they will become quite suitable specialists (who does not score). And the labor market will become oversaturated. Although already now there is a terrible competition, price dumping, falling salaries And freelancing is generally a fierce hell ...

Your opinion is interesting. Thank you in advance for your response.

big market – big competition, but also much more opportunities.
You can be a specialist in, for example, oracle with a dozen vacancies per country and make good money.
you can be a specialist in web development, with thousands of vacancies, and make good money.
and it is possible in both cases to be mediocrity and suck. Everything depends on you.
ronald, like, the webers were bitten or kicked; listen to him - do not respect yourself.

For 20 years, I have been hearing the labor market will be oversaturated, then now it is not clear who will oversaturate it? Where should a million good programmers come from to oversaturate it?
How do you know it will be oversaturated?
Or do you know some secret universities that have been working on the sly for 20 years and are about to start graduating 100,000 thousand programmers a month?

You have already asked a similar question. We need people on the web, but we need those who know how to do something on their own, and not after the courses come and say teach.

You really shouldn't go in here.
Prospects - zero, all your life you will burn your eyes with a code.
If there are good salaries, then you need to understand how people get this money and what they donate. And they sacrifice a lot - personal time, in the first place. A programmer should not just work, you need to elevate it to the category of a hobby and the meaning of life. Do you need it?
Here all the answers are like carbon copies from the same nerds, here, as in the State Duma, there is no place for discussions and dissent. Go to another, more professional forum of specialists and ask specific questions. And here you will be told fairy tales only about how wildly the country needs IT specialists, only the reality is that outside the Moscow Ring Road, IT specialists are not needed in the country and there are 1.5 vacancies for large cities.

It’s difficult, I started about 4 years ago, it’s still hard to make money, at first I studied the front, then I realized that without a back only for my uncle, now I’m studying the back. There are too many technologies, the fact that I know the markup language, js, php, that's not all, there you also need to know the database and how the web server works and be able to configure it. I'm not talking about frameworks, assemblers and preprocessors. In general, it will take years if you want not to depend on anyone. Either learn one thing or front or back and go to work, or find someone from the front or back and do the work together. But here you still need to find customers and make a portfolio.

There is no shortage of IT specialists. There is only a shortage of cheap IT specialists

Do you think it's worth mastering web development in 2020?

Do you think it's worth going to McDonald's in 2020?
What do you think, does it have to go as a laborer in 2020?
What do you think, does it have to go by courier in 2020? (By the way, yes)
ANY profession in 2020 can be mastered regardless of competition, but if you are going to master the profession where qualifications are required - and IT is always needed, then it will take a long time to master, difficult and invest not only time but also effort.
